Staff are fully trained in the management of medication, which could include, prompting, assisting, administering, and applying medication. All medication must be supplied from a pharmacy filled Dossett box or prescription labelled box. Staff are also trained in administering eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, inhalers, nebulisers, oxygen care etc.

Documentation off all support provided with medication is put together on a Care Support Plan and Medication Administering Record charts (MAR Charts).

Assistance with organising and storing medication.

Assistance with setting up reminder systems for taking medication.

Assistance with reminding the patient to take medication.
